In 2022, easyJet holidays partnered with the Oxford SDG Impact Lab to advance sustainability in the tourism industry. This collaboration leverages the expertise of Lab Fellows to address key challenges within the sector, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of this partnership, Lab Fellows travelled to Tenerife to work closely with hotels and resorts, exploring ways to reduce food waste and improve sustainable practices. By conducting in-depth research and collaborating with stakeholders, the Fellows developed innovative strategies that promote responsible tourism and environmental stewardship.

The outcomes of this collaboration enable easyJet holidays to make measurable progress on SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), with potential for expansion to address additional SDGs and embed sustainability more deeply within its operations.
