Our Laidlaw Scholars are continuing their ambitious research project on UK Policy and Extracurricular Activities in State Schools. Recently, Elizabeth, Michał, Yi Lin, and Holly visited University of Bath for an enlightening interview with Dr. Kalyan Kumar Kameshwara, an expert in Education and Social Mobility.

Dr. Kameshwara shared invaluable insights into the relationship between educational policy and social mobility in state schools, a critical area of focus for our scholars. The team discussed key challenges and opportunities in ensuring equal access to extracurricular activities across the UK.

During their trip to Bath, the scholars also took the opportunity to explore the city’s rich historical landscape, adding a cultural touch to their research journey. From interviews to sightseeing, this trip offered both academic growth and memorable experiences.
