The Oxford SDG Impact Lab is incredibly honoured to join forces with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), with generous support from easyJet holidays, to develop the first environmental, social and governance – ESG – Framework for Tourism Businesses.

The SDG Impact Lab and Pembroke College Oxford hosted the signing of this historic agreement for the development of the ESG Framework, bringing together representatives and leaders from the UNWTO, easyJet holidays, the University of Oxford, Oxford Department of International Development, and the Oxford SDG Impact Lab.

The Framework is a wonderful opportunity to create a unified, comparable, and compatible standardised set of metrics for businesses operating in the tourism sector, with the aim of helping tourism businesses measure their ESG and adapt their practices to ensure a more sustainable and socially responsible industry.
