Join us for lunch at the Lab with Sophie Ibbotson, a World Bank consultant with a particular interest in sustainable tourism.
Sophie Ibbotson is an economic development consultant with a particular interest in sustainable tourism. She works for the World Bank in the Balkans and Central Asia, where she is currently the international advisor for the Rural Economy Development Project in Tajikistan; she is also Uzbekistan’s Ambassador for Tourism, and the Chairman of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs. Sophie is also founder and director of a consultancy firm focusing on development and public relations in the tourism and cultural sectors.
Sophie shared her experiences of working in the field and tourism as a mechanism for development.
