PAST EVENT – Challenge Map
Event Date: 14th March 2022
Time: 12.30
What?
The Lab Fellows received briefings on the sustainability challenges being faced by resorts that easyJet holidays is operating in and the scope of the projects that they will be working on.
Why?
Fellows learnt their fieldlab destinations and were given expert insights on the destinations from the eJh team and the Travel Foundation. Teams of Fellows then worked together to present initial ideas as mini-pitches.
The aim of the event was to ensure that the Fellows are prepared and ready to go away for the Easter break to shape their initial project ideas and framework.

Format
The day was split in two parts; the briefings process in the lecture theatre and an evening drinks reception, speaker and dinner.
The keynote speaker was Professor Graham Miller, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Surrey and Professor of Sustainability in Business with the talk ‘Sustainable Tourism, Business and the SDGs’. A select group of invited guests joined for dinner to facilitate further discussions on new ways to deliver sustainable solutions locally and globally.
